A Peplum for Spring

Hey there! Today I am part of the Bow Back Beauty blog hop, a pattern by Little Kiwis Closet.

When I first saw this pattern - when Lydia (the designer, based in New Zealand) called for testers - my first thought was how adorable it was with that bow on the back! Sadly I couldn't test it at the time so I was super happy when she asked a few bloggers to join a blog hop!

Funny though, I have opted to make a view (one of the several options available) without the bow this time because the weather is still a bit chilly and this girl is needing some new long sleeve sweaters. Can you believe she is outgrowing all of her size 4 clothes and going into size 5? She is (only) 3 3/4 years-old!...

Fabric: striped jersey + solid color jersey, both light weight.

Pattern: Bow Back Beauty top/dress by Little Kiwis Closet.

Details & Thoughts:
This pattern is great! It was the first time I have sewn the shoulders like that - like a onesie - and I think it turned out great. The instructions are thorough and clear, with lots of photos on every step.
It is available in sizes NB to 12 years! Isn't it great? And it comes with so many options! You can choose from: two bodice styles (natural waist and hip length), two back options (open back with a bow, or plain), four sleeve options (sleevless, short, short with cuff or long), five skirts/lenghts (peplum, double peplum, skirt+peplum, skirt and hi-low skirt), and three options for a onesie (including one with a cute skirt!) - the combinations are endless! It's amazing! This is definitely a staple.

Make sure to hop through these blogs to find some amazing versions of the Bow Back Beauty!

Today I am touring along with Rebel and Malice, All Sewn Up by Stacey and That's Sew Kari.
